Let the good times roll

At times, it's hard for me to truly inhale all the activity that goes on around me. Recently, I moved from Colorado to Kansas to start my summer youth ministry job. It's a dream come true and I know I am exactly where I am suppose to be. Now that I've settled in my new city, met all my new coworkers, and found a new college group to be apart of, it's hit me how much has happened in just one month. I will do my best to mix my posts with my time ending in Colorado and my new life in Kansas City. When life gets hectic, I put my favorite skirt on and let the good times roll. 

Great news

I found out a couple weeks ago that I got the dream job in Kansas City. In just a few short weeks, I'll be spending my whole summer with junior high students. It will be my first summer humidity-thanks for nothing Arizona. This means no Arizona for me- what a relief! However, I couldn't be more excited. As the year is coming to a close, I've become the worst blogger. With finals, end of ministry, and preparing for the future, I can barely think. Thankfully, everything I am learning is shaping be into a better leader for camp. Also, I recently bought Chacos- it's official I am apart of Colorado. 

Casual Friday

My school is wonderful for many reasons but one of my favorites is the fact that classes aren't held on Fridays. Trust me having three day weekends every weekend never gets old. With that, casual Friday is no understatement. Today, even thought started out bad, was another great free day. On these Fridays, pants are a must and my new polka dot shirt is always a cute addition. 

The 90's would have rejected this dress

My  R.A.,being the trendy woman she is, bought a surprise dress off Modcloth expecting something very vintage. However, the dress from 90's hell came in the mail instead and she wasn't sure what to do. When she said there was no hope for cuteness and I declared "challenge accepted" (How I Met Your Mother pun totally instead). With the addition of a over sized cardigan and tights, the illusion takes the eyes off  the ugly pattern. Plus, the big necklace adds to the color distraction. There is no such thing as a hopeless dress, even one with shoulder pads.

When the weather man stated that Colorado would be in the sixties all week, I almost didn't believe him. Sure, I've gotten use to snow but it would be nice feel a degree above forty. Then magic happened, spring finally made it. It was a beautiful week. I could finally break out my cotton sundresses and bask in the warm sun. Even though, the number one motto in the 303 is if you don't like the weather just wait ten minutes, it will change. However, I hope this miracle stays in Colorado for the rest of the semester.
