A week of firsts and lasts

This week I celebrated my last first day of school (as an undergrad student; you betcha I'll be going to grad school). As I start my senior year of class, I found I was overwhelmed with course loads and balancing work and school so planning my outfits out before hand eased the stress. Here are my outfits from the week: 

Monday: the first day! I wanted to be comfortable for my only class of the day with my favorite jeans. I also borrowed my best friend's necklace to mix colors. 

Tuesday: the busy day. I love my Arrowroot dress because not only is it handmade, it fits perfectly and makes me feel beautiful. This is very useful since on this day I have four classes with back to back meetings in between. 

Wednesday: my catch up. Post the busyness and stress of Tuesday, I love Wednesday and I love this dress. It's borrowed from a friend and I may never give it back. I wore flats to class and heels when I went out that night which showed how easy this dress could transform to the many different facets of my life. 

Thursday: my challenge day. It's my challenge day because I have a quiz in every single of my classes on Thursdays. On days like these I love wearing a colored pant so I can still feel stylish while attempting to pass all my reading quizzes. 

I have always loved the start of school and what the year might bring. Stay Gold! 

Chance & Audrey

I became friends with Chance & Audrey when I lived with Audrey during my sophomore year of college. In that year, I got a first hand experience of their relationship and I'll be the first to tell you it's beautiful. It has been really inspiring to see their ups and downs and the way they always surrender to God's will. So when Chance came to me a couple months ago and told he was proposing, I couldn't be more excited. The night he proposed was dreamy and the party we held afterwards was a blast. I'm really excited for these two friends and their new adventure. 

JD & Sara

It is hard not to write a novel about all the great things about this couple. However, I will spare everyone with the details of my major crush on them and get straight to the point: JD & Sara's wedding was flawless. It was a remarkable day dedicated to who Jesus is and their wedding reflected what gospel centered living looks like in every way. JD & Sara's wedding was full of joy and beauty which made for a great celebration. I hope you enjoy their wedding video and it brings you just as much joy as it brought me to film it.

Long days, long dresses

Summer days are naturally long- we all know this! Not only because the sun is out for longer, but I feel like there is more to do in the summer. I am constantly jumping from one coffee outing with a friend to a meeting with my boss to grabbing dinner and drinks downtown. Lately, my days have been packed and for that reason I brought this longer, black dress. Its simple silhouette allows me to dress up or dress down for whatever my lengthy day may bring.

Luke & Lauren

Luke and Lauren Jackson are my favorite power couple. I say this with great confidence because not only were they my first couple whose wedding I got to film, but they are also close friends. Luke and Lauren are two individuals whose kindness is contagious, love for Jesus is inspiring, and friendship is life changing. When it came time to become Mr. and Mrs. Jackson, their wedding was a beautiful depiction of Christ's love and their love for each other. Thank you, team Jackson, for the amazing opportunity of filming your wedding.
